NEARLY a month after the campaign officially kicked off, presidential candidate Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. remains at the top of all nationwide surveys by all polling firms as Filipinos remain to choose him as their next president in the coming elections.

Based on the latest OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa released on Sunday, Marcos got 55% preference votes from the 1,200 respondents who participated in the survey.

OCTA said of the total respondents, 97.5% were registered voters who are likely to vote in the May elections.

Meanwhile, Leni Robredo is still behind with 15%, Isko Moreno with 11%, Manny Pacquiao with 10%, and Ping Lacson with 3%.

The number of undecided increased by 6% compared to 5% during the previous survey.

Marcos also maintains his lead in the National Capital Region (NCR) with 46%, 56% in Balance Luzon, and 47% in the Visayas.

In Mindanao, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer gained high ratings with 65% compared to Robredo’s four percent.

The survey was conducted from February 12 to 17, a few days after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) released its decision allowing Marcos to run for president.

The same timeline also falls during his excellent performance at the ‘Bakit Ikaw? The DZRH Presidential Job Interview’ and ‘The 2022 Presidential One-on-One Interviews with Boy Abunda’.

Recently, the latest nationwide Pulso ng Pilipino survey conducted by the Issues and Advocacy Center (The Center) showed that Marcos’ survey trajectory is still going up after he got 53% preference votes.

The Kalye Survey conducted from October 2021 to January 31, 2022 also showed that Marcos is the unanimous choice of Filipinos all over the world, with a preference rate of 84.77 percent.
