INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang lahat ng government agencies at local government units (LGUs) na gunitain ang “Community Development Week” at “Community Development Day” tuwing unang linggo ng Enero kada taon.

Batay sa Memorandum Circular No. 41 na nilagdaan noong Enero 3, gusto ni Pangulong Marcos na panatilihing buhay ang Bayanihan at pahalagahan ang pagtutulungan sa komunidad.

Kilala ang mga Pilipino sa Bayanihan o ang pagtutulungan ng walang hinihinging kapalit gaya ng pagbubuhat ng bahay, pagtatanim at bigayan ng pagkain o anumang kakulangan sa buhay.

Inaatasan ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pakikipagtulungan sa mga people’s organizations na pangunahan ang mga aktibidad at programa para sa taunang “Community Development Week” at “Community Development Day.”

“All national government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, government financial institutions and state universities and colleges are hereby directed, and all local government units are encouraged, to extend full support for, and cooperation in, the conduct of relevant activities and programs during the annual celebration of the Community Development Week and Community Development Day,” sabi sa 2-page circular.
