Bato files COC for president
SENATOR Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa has filed his certificate of candidacy for the Presidential Elections for 2022 under the ruling party PDP-Laban.
Dela Rosa was accomapanied by Senator Francis Tolentino and PDP-Laban Party Secretary General Melvin Matibag in filing his COC at the Harbor Garden Tent in Sofitel.
Matibag said dela Rosa will be the running mate of Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go who had filed his COC for Vice Presidential elections.
Meanwhile when asked if Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte would take his place as presidential candidate, Dela Rosa answered, “Eh di mas maganda.”
Dela Rosa said his candidacy is a party decision after Go turned down the party’s nomination for him as standard bearer.
At the same time, five more senatoriables of PDP-Laban also filed their COCs.
President Rodrigo Duterte personally accompanied Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, former Senator and currently Information and Technology Secretary Gregorio Honasan, SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, Anti-Corruption Commissioner Greco Belgica and actor Robin Padilla in filing their candidacies.
