Batangueño arrested for indiscriminate firing
A man from Calatagan town was apprehended by authorities for illegally discharging a firearm the other day.
Calatagan Municipal Police Station Commander PMAJ Ronnie B. Aurellano identified the suspect as Eufracio Castillo y Mendoza.
Concerned citizens informed the police that there was a male person who fired an unknown caliber of a firearm along the national road at the said place.
Police immediately responded to the place and upon the arrival of the responding personnel, Mendoza was caught in the act shooting his firearm downward.
Thereafter, police pacified the suspect, and later surrendered himself.
Authorities seized one Cal. 45 Armscor with a magazine inserted and found three pieces of fired cartridge casings scattered on the dirt.
