Batangas SACLEO nets 241 suspects

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – The Batangas Provincial Police Office (BPPO) personnel arrested 241 wanted suspects involved in various cases during the one-week “Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations” (SACLEO) from November 20 to November 26, according to Batangas police director, P/Col. Pedro D. Soliba.

In a submitted report to PRO Calabarzon (Police Regional Office Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., 96 drug suspects were caught from 86 police operations conducted and seized 146.70 grams of shabu and 1,129.76 grams of marijuana.

In addition, the service of arrest warrants by operatives of the BPPO caused 56 wanted persons to be put behind bars.

These felons included ten regional most wanted, ten provincial most wanted, eight city/municipal most wanted, and 28 other wanted persons.

Meanwhile, 81 personalities involved in illegal gambling were also arrested, which stemmed from 56 operations conducted by Batangas Police.

Bet money amounting to P33,482 was confiscated from the gamblers.

On the other hand, eight loose firearms were confiscated and handcuffed eight more individuals from ten operations.

“The Batangas PNP is serious in its campaign against criminality. We are committed to ensuring that the community is safe, especially this holiday season,” Soliba said.
