Batangas SACLEO nets 204 wanted suspects

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Up to 204 suspects were arrested for several violations in the seven-day “Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations” (SACLEO) of the Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) a few days ago.

According to the report of P/Col. Glicerio C. Cansilao, Provincial Director Batangas PPO to Regional Director P/Brig. Gen. Antonio C. Yarra, PRO Calabarzon (Police Regional Office – Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon), said 53 wanted persons with outstanding arrest warrants were collared by the elements of the Batangas Police.

Twenty-six are considered most wanted persons (MWPs), including four at the regional level, five at the provincial level, and seven at the city/municipal levels.

In 84 operations against illegal drugs, 90 drug personalities were arrested, and an estimated 90.16 grams of shabu and marijuana with a total value of P498,413.04 were confiscated in the seven-day operations.

A wanted member of the “Antonio Camo” gun-for-hire syndicate was also arrested around 9:45 a.m. on June 22, in Bgy. Mataas Na Kahoy, Lipa City, Batangas.

In 58 operations against illegal gambling, up to 58 individuals were arrested, and three people were arrested for illegally possessing firearms.

Police Brigadier General Antonio C. Yarra said, “I commend the successful and ongoing implementation of SACLEO in the province of Batangas. It just shows that the entire PNP force is true to its duty to fight all forms of crime,”
