Batangas protects local folk vs COVID surge

BATANGAS Capitol — COVID-19 cases have continued to rise in recent weeks in the country. However, the Department of Health (DOH) revealed many of the cases are mild and asymptomatic.

In response, the Batangas Provincial Government (PBM) led by Governor DoDo Mandanas is taking measures to protect employees and residents who visit the capitol for seek public services.

Anti-COVID measures include the taking of the temperature of employees who attended the weekly flag ceremony.

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) has also distributed Vitamin C tablets, face masks, information pamphlets and insect repellents to employees to also protect them against dengue this rainy season.

The distribution of vitamin supplements, face masks, and alcohol to provincial government staff continues.

“It is important to stay physically fit, to clean the environment, and get vaccinated to avoid getting the COVID-19 virus and dengue,” said Mandanas.
