Batangas MWP murder suspect falls

A 38-YEAR-OLD worker in a murder case who also hid from the law for more than 5 years was arrested by the joint police force at his hiding house in Lipa City, Batangas Thursday afternoon.

Lipa City Police Station Chief P/Lt. Col. Ronald P. Cayago identified the accused as Juan Perez, married, laborer, native of Bgy. Sto. Niño, Batangas City and presently a resident of Bgy. Bagong Pook, Lipa City.

Combined personnel of Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) led by P/Lt. Rommel P. Magno, Lipa and Batangas City Police and 1st Batangas Provincial Mobile Force Company (BPMFC) under the direct supervision of P/Maj. Alfonso P. Saligumba lll conducted a manhunt operation at Bgy. New Place, Lipa City at 1:10 p.m., February 22, and nailed the suspect who did not resist arrest.

The murder suspect according to P/Lt. Col. Cayago is listed as rank no. 6 most wanted person (MWP) in the regional level was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest penned by Judge Ruben A. Galvez of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3, of Pallocan West, Batangas City, dated September 4, 2018 without bail recommended

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and will be brought to Batangas Police Station and the arrest is a result of a report from Barangay Intelligence Networks (BINs) while a body-worn camera was utilized by the police.
