THE Batangas Police Provincial Office (PPO) under the leadership of Provincial Director, PCOL Glicerio C. Cansilao conducted a two-day Physical Fitness Test (PFT) on May 17 and 18 in Camp General Miguel C. Malvar, Batangas City.

Among those who underwent the PCT were policemen born in the months of January to April. It was managed by the Batangas Human Resource Doctrine Development Section (HRDDS) along with the Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division (RLDDD) in liaison with Regional Special Training Unit 4A (RSTU 4A) and Regional Medical and Dental Unit 4A (RMDU 4A).

At 4 a.m., the PFT started with registration, body mass index monitoring, blood pressure check, doctor evaluation, and warm-up exercises such as 1-minute sit-ups, 1-minute push-ups, 300-meter sprints, and kilometer run.

The Batangas PPO recorded a total of 817 individuals who underwent the said PFT.

It includes 41 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and seven hundred and 774 Police Non-Commission Officers (PNCO).

PFT is performed by each individual once a year to measure and ensure the physical fitness of each individual, which measures the stamina, strength, speed, efficiency, and physical activity that will be required in the daily duties of the police.

“Although we are still facing the current pandemic, we still remind our police to keep their bodies physically fit so that we can fulfill our sworn duty, to serve, to enforce the law, and to deliver security to the people.” – said COL Cansilao.
