IT was before Christmas last year (2021) nang magkahiwalay ang dating magkasintahang Barbie Imperial at Diego Loyzaga and will be celebrating theirfirst year anniversary na wala na sila at malayo na sa isa’t isa.

Both Barbie and Diego are happily single ngayon at pareho silang tutok sa kanilang respective careers. Barbie is currently doing “A Cup of Flavor” na pinagtatambalan nila ni JC Santos na pinamamahalaan ng 2022 Best Director ng Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival for the movie “Blue Room” na si Ma-an Asuncion Degnalan under 3:16 Media.

Although maraming controversies ang pinagdaanan ni Barbie sa magtatapos na taong 2022, she still considers the year as an exciting year dahil marami umano siyang natutunan at nagturo sa kanya ng aral for her to become astronger and better person. She also learned to love herself.

Barbie looks forward to a busier 2023 dahil sa pagsisimula pa lamang ng taon ay may mga proyekto na siyang sisimulan.

The Kapamilya actress will celebrate her Christmas holidays with her family – her mom and brother.

Boy ayaw magsunog ng tulay

SANDALI namin nakausap over the phone ang “King of Talk” na si Boy Abunda and he revealed to us na sa January 2023 umano magsisimula ang kanyang dalawang talk show sa GMA where he actually started in 1994.

Ayon kay Boy, he’s doing a daily showbiz talk-show and a once-a-week public affairs program.

Inamin sa amin ng “King of Talk” na sobra umano niyang na-miss ang kanyang TV talk show.

Boy was doing his weekly “Conversations with Boy Abunda” when it suddenly stopped dahil sa pagkawala ng prangkisa ng ABS-CBN nung May 5, 2020.

“Hindi talaga ako pang-digital,” aniya.

Boy is the type of a person who does not` burn bridges’ kaya maayos ang kanyang pag-alis noon sa GMA to move to ABS-CBN in 1999 at maayos din siyang nagpaalam sa sa mga big bosses ng Kapamilya network to move back to GMA ngayong Disyembre.

“Maliit lamang ang industriya na ating ginagalawan,” pahayag niya.

“Why create enemies when they can be your friends?,” paliwanag pa niya.

Patuloy ang pakikipag-brainstorming ni Boy with the production people ng GMA for his new program. May mga title na umanong pinagpipilian but nothing is final though.

Ai Ai bumalik para sa ‘The Clash,’ Ken di sigurado ang kapalaran

Ang “The Clash” na nagsimula nung 2018 at nakapag-produce na ng apat ng grand champions na kinabibilangan nina Golden Canedo, Jeremiah Tiangco, Jessica Villarubin at Marianne Osabel.

Before Christmas ay babalik ng California, USA si Ai-Ai where she will celebrate the holidays with her husband Gerald and son Nicolo.

Whenever she’s needed by her home studio, ang GMA, magpapabalik-balik ng Pilipinas at Amerika si Ai-Ai na sanay na rin sa buhay doon.

Samantala, bukod sa original GMA reality singing competition na “The Clash,” na-acquire ng Kapuso network from Fremantle ang isa pang kakaibang reality show, ang ‘Battle of the Judges” kung saan ang mga hurado ang magtatagisan ng galing sa pag-awit. Said program will be launched in 2023.

Direk Lino back to what he loves most

TV and movie director, producer and former politician Lino Cayetano is back at what he loves doing – directing and producing.

At the recent pre-Christmas get-together with the entertainment media, inamin ng dating kongresista and former Taguig mayor Lito Cayetano na pahinga muna siya sa pulitika at gusto niyang paglaanan ng panahon ang pagiging director- producer ng iba’t ibang proyekto which his company, Rein Entertainment is collaborating with Viva and other film productions na kanyang sinimulan sa series na “Secrets of A Nympho” na magkatulong na dinirek nina Philip King and Shugo Praico. Dito ay mga pangunahing bituin sina Rhen Escano, Ayana Misola at Milana Ikemoto kasam sina Jiad Arroyo, Aaron Villaflor, Josef Elizalde, Gold Aceron at Stephanie Raz. Meron din silang Metro Manila Film Festival entry, ang erotic- suspense-thriller movie, ang “Nananahimik ang Gabi” kung saan tampok na mga bituin sina Heaven Peralejo, Ian Veneracion at Mon Confiado na dinireni ni Shugo Praico.

Ayon kay Direk Lino, marami pa umano silang proyektong nasa pipeline na sisimulan sa pagpasok ng taong 2023.

The director-producer is happily married sa kanyang wife of 8 years na si Fille Cainglet-Cayetano with whom he has three kids – Philip, Fille Renee at Lily Saint. The couple got married in Mactan, Cebu nung December 17, 2013.

Ang wife ni Direk Lino na si Fille ay dating volleyball player ng Ateneo Lady Eagles. Ang dalawa ay nagkakilala sa isang all-star volleyball game nung summer of 2013.

Joseph’s wish for the new year

BAGO pinasok ni Joseph Marco ang showbiz ay nagsimula siya bilang celebrity endorser ng iba’t ibang produkto kaya hindi na rin bago sa kanya ang pagiging bagong brand ambassador ng premiere underwear brand na Hanford na kanyang ipinagpapasalamat.

Joseph is of German, Italian and Spanish descent (sa father side). He is currently in a relationship with his Russian girlfriend of two years na si Dasha Romanova. Prior to his present girlfriend, he was in a relationship with beauty queen Celeste Cortesi.

Si Joseph ay nagsimula sa bakuran ng GMA in 2007 and in 2015, he moved to ABS-CBN where his acting talent was utilized to the fullest.

He was cast as one of the leads in the afternoon TV series “Pasion de Amor” and in 2016 sa primetime series na “Dolce Amore” na pinagbidahan ng magkasintahang Liza Soberano at Enrique Gil. He was also the leading man of Maja Salvador in “Wildflower” in 2017 and again one of the leads in “Los Bastardoes” series in 2019. Maganda rin ang kanyang naging papel sa primetime TV series na “Ang Iyo ay Akin” na sinundan ng kanyang guest appearance sa nagtapos na ring action-drama series na “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” na pinagbidahan ni Coco Martin who also co-directed the show. Umaasa ang actor that he will continue to be busier sa taong 2023.
