Bachelor Express holds annual stockholders’ meeting

Bachelor Express, Inc. (“BEI”) held its annual stockholders’ meeting on January 16, 2022 with family matriarch Olivia V. Yanson heading the board election.

During the meeting, Olivia V. Yanson, Leo Rey V. Yanson, Ginnette Y. Dumancas, Charles M. Dumancas, Rey C. Ardo, Arvin John V. Villaruel, Anita G. Chua, Daniel Nicolas P. Golez, Hernan B. Omecillo, Danny O. Lorenton, and Alfredo O. Ligo, Jr. were re-elected as members of BEI’s Board of Directors.

Bachelor Express is a public transport firm plying the routes of Mindanao.

Following the election of the directors, the Board held an organizational meeting wherein Leo Rey V. Yanson was re-appointed as Chairman of the Board and President of BEI, while Olivia V. Yanson was re-appointed as BEI’s Corporate Secretary and Treasurer.

Olivia was appointed last year by a Bacolod court to be the special administrator of the estate of her late husband Ricardo B. Yanson.

Despite proper and timely notice, stockholders Roy V. Yanson (“Roy”), Ricardo V. Yanson, Jr. (“Ricky”), and Ma. Lourdes Celina Y. Lopez (“Celina”) were absent Roy, Celina and Ricky are believed to be unable to attend the meeting because they are currently abroad together with their sister Emily V. Yanson.

Chairman and president Leo Rey V. Yanson confirms that despite the challenges faced in 2021, BEI remains strong and resilient. It continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people. BEI remains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all.

The newly appointed Board is excited to see how they can continue to push boundaries to provide quality transportation to every Filipino despite the challenges of the pandemic.
