THE Philippine Red Cross (PRC) extended assistance to San Lazaro Hospital following the increase in leptospirosis cases admitted in the hospital.

“We’re extending our assistance to San Lazaro to ensure that more Filipinos receive the care they need, ” PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon said in a statement. This isn’t just the PRC’s fight—it’s all of ours. We must work hand in hand to ensure that everyone receives the care they need during these hard times.” Gordon added.

Meanwhile, Secretary General Dr. Gwen Pang said, the PRC is fully equipped to provide the best care possible, with additional supplies like masks and gloves already sent to support our teams.

” PRC remains ready to deploy more resources if necessary, ensuring that no one is left behind during this health crisis.”

Earlier the PRC also extended support and assistance to the National Kidney Training Institute ( NKTI) as cases of leptospirosis increased.
