PHILIPPINE National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar yesterday ordered a thorough investigation into last Friday’s killing of a media executive in General Santos City.

The country’s top cop also instructed the Police Regional Office 12 to launch a massive hunt for the killers of 34-year-old Yentez Quintoy.

“Mariin po nating kinokondena ang insidenteng ito. I have directed the local police to thoroughly investigate this killing and launch manhunt operations against the perpetrators of this crime,” Eleazar said.

Quintoy, the executive director and chief of staff of the Brigada Group of Companies, was gunned down by motorcycle-riding suspects while she was driving her car on her way home last Friday.

The attack took place on NLSA Road in Pook Masunurin, Bgy. San Isidro, General Santos City. The killers fled after shooting the victim at close range.

Eleazar assured that no stone will be left unturned in the investigation and that all angles would be looked into.

He added that the local police are already closely coordinating with Quintoy’s family and co-workers as part of the probe.

He also urged witnesses to Quintoy’s killing to come forward and give information to authorities that would help in the speedy resolution of the case.

A P1 million reward has been offered by Brigada for anyone who could provide solid information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the media executive’s killers.
