THE 362 Philippine Army cadets were told to inculcate in their minds the importance of training excellence during the recent send-off ceremony for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) Katarakian Class 61-2024 at the Army Support Command Headquarters in Camp Servillano Aquino, Tarlac City.

Army chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido reiterated to the incoming platoon leaders to motivate and train their personnel well.

“If you are not able to train our personnel well, we can never expect a good operational output. Thus, there are baselines that you have to understand and these must be inculcated in your mind,” Lt. Gen. Galido said.

“The Army is trying its best to create a proper working environment for you to be able to inspire our personnel. We are very much aware of the challenges and we are doing our part,” the Army chief added.

The Army head also shared professional advice with the graduating officer candidates. “What is more important is your passion to serve will not wither because imperfection will be compensated by your passion to serve.

The journey will be tough and as early as now, you have to project where you will be to attain victory in all aspects of the service,” he stressed.

The 362 graduating Army cadets joined the 173 cadets from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) – Sigmandigan Class 2024 and 75 cadets from the Philippine Navy (PN) – Mangisalakan Class 42-2024 in the Major Service Branches’ Joint Graduation Ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City the other day.
