ANOTHER leader of a religious organization was arrested by the police for rape.

Tuy, Batangas police chief Maj. Van Gualberto said the suspect is a 47-year-old pastor in the town.

The suspect was nabbed for raping his own daughter.

A relative sought the help of the police after the victim told her ordeal.

The victim said her father apologized after the first rape but still repeated the sexual assault.

The girl said her father raped her several times in five years.

She said everytime she goes out of the house, her father always ask her if she has a boyfriend.

“Siguro po dahil ang aking asawa’y malayo kayak o nagawa. Anak patawin mo ako, patawin mo ang papa,” the father said after his arrest.

The suspect is detained at the town police lock-up facility.

Last Tuesday, a 26-year-old pastor was also arrested for rape in Nueva Vizcaya.

Suspect Julius Macasieb, a pastor from a local Christian religious sect, was nabbed on the strength of a warrant for rape issued by Judge Paul Attolba Jr. of the Bayombong Regional Trial Court, with no bail recommended.

Police said Macasieb happened to know the minor victim when he was assigned in Bambang in April 2012.

The suspect reportedly befriended the young victim until he managed to have sex with her in his rented house in August 2017.

The incident happened when the victim was only 17 years old.

Because of immorality issues, the pastor was reportedly relieved from his position in September 2019, thus ending his relationship with the victim.

However, on March 4, 2020, the pastor reportedly forced the victim to meet him personally, threatening to upload her nude pictures on internet if she will ignore his order.

Terrified, the victim showed up in their meeting place, giving the accused another opportunity to sexually abuse her.

Macasieb is being held at the Bambang police lock-up facility.
