Ammo, guns seized from welder in Batangas

A 55-YEAR-OLD welder was arrested for illegal possession of guns and ammunition Wednesday in Lipa City, Batangas.

Lipa City Police Station commander Lt. Col Lory Tarrazona identified the arrested suspect as Venancio Titular alias Beny, married, welder, of Purok 3, Bgy. San Isidro.

Officers-on-case led by PSMS Rodel M. Silva, PSSg Glenn Allan A. Maandal, and PCpl Arnold D. Ubaldo said elements of the Lipa CPS implemented the search warrants against Titular around 9:45 a.m. on August 4.

The warrants were issued on August 2, by Vice Executive Judge Agripino R. Bravo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 55, Lucena City.

Seized from the suspect were a Smith and Wesson cal. .38 revolver, homemade cal. .22 pistol with magazine, caliber .22 pistol, Armscor cal. 38 revolver all without serial numbers and three live ammo for a cal. 38. as well as a small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.

The suspect failed to present any legal documents for all the weapons, police said.

The suspect is being held at the custodial facility of the Lipa City police station.
