LAOAG CITY – THE administration’s Senate slate, Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, hit the ground running as it officially launched its campaign in Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, rallying support in the political stronghold of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. and his family.

President Marcos himself led the highly anticipated campaign kickoff later at the province’s centennial arena, along with local government executives and supporters, to endorse a powerhouse lineup of senatorial candidates under the Alyansa banner.

Campaign manager and Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco set the tone for the campaign, declaring that the Alyansa is not just a slate of candidates, but a coalition of experienced leaders committed to real solutions.

“Ngayon po ang unang araw ng kampanyahan, at makikita ninyo—hindi lang tayo basta-basta nagbuo ng isang senatorial slate. Tayo po ay nagbuo ng isang Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas,” Tiangco said during a press conference.

Tiangco said that each candidate on the slate has a proven track record and is ready to work alongside the Marcos administration to advance crucial reforms.

“Makikita po natin sa ating mga kandidato na lahat sila ay may napatunayan na. Hindi lang sila nangangako, may nagawa na, at sila po ay makakatulong sa pagsulong ng mga programa ng ating Pangulong Bongbong Marcos,” he added.

The administration’s Senate slate includes former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Pia Cayetano, Senator Imee Marcos, Senator Lito Lapid, former Senators Panfilo Lacson and Manny Pacquiao, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senator Francis Tolentino, former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

As the campaign trail heats up, Alyansa is expected to highlight its candidates’ qualifications, achievements and shared vision of governance, positioning itself as the team that will deliver real results for the Filipino people.

Alyansa is framing itself as the ticket that will champion economic recovery, inflation control, job creation and government efficiency—key issues that will shape the May 2025 midterm elections.

“Sila po ay magiging katuwang natin sa Senado, kasama sa pagharap at paghahanap ng mga solusyon sa ating mga suliranin,” Tiangco said, referring to Alyansa’s 12-member Senate slate.

Ilocos Norte, the bailiwick of the Marcos family, served as a symbolic starting point for the Alyansa campaign, reinforcing its strong ties to the administration.

The Ilocos Norte campaign launch marked the beginning of an aggressive nationwide push to introduce the Alyansa slate to voters, with upcoming sorties scheduled across key provinces and regions.

Aside from Ilocos Norte, Alyansa will also hold kickoff rallies in Iloilo City, Carmen in Davao del Norte, and Pasay City, representing three other major regions in the country.
