ALMOST half a million pesos of illegal drugs were seized by authorities in two separate police operations Monday evening and Tuesday before dawn in Muntinlupa and Taguig Cities.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said operatives of Taguig City Police served the search warrant issued by Executive Judge Antonio Olivete of Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 267 at the house of Aldrin Gabriel, 53, at Bgy. North Signal at around 3:00 a.m., Tuesday following reliable information that the suspect was engaged in illegal drug activity.
During the search, police recovered 23 plastic sachets of shabu weighing more or less 23.2 grams with a standard drug price of P157,760, prompting policemen to place Gabriel under arrest.
Earlier, at around 11:00 p.m. on Monday, Muntinlupa Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEI) operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at PNR Site, Purok 2 Bgy. Bayanan that resulted in the arrest of Annrick Sarsonas alias “Tonton”, 25, and Wen Wright Conde, 28.
Macaraeg said SDEU operatives seized from the two more or less 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000.00 and P1,000 marked money used in the drug sting operation.
All arrested suspects are now under the custody of the arresting units, while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
“Ang SPD ay nagpapatuloy sa mga operasyon upang puksain ang lahat ng uri ng iligal na droga gayundin ang lahat ng uri ng kriminalidad upang tayo ay magkaroon ng isang malinis at payapang pamayanan. Aking binabati ang ating mga kapulisan sa kanilang taimtim na pagtupad ng kanilang tungkulin.” Macaraeg said.
