The arrest of the suspects was the result of a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division, SPD-District Mobile Force Battalion and Taguig Police Sub-Station 5 under the supervision of P/Lt. When Jumaquio handed the small plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 marked money, lawmen pounced on her and immediately swooped down on her house which she utilized as drug den and arrested five other drug personalities.

“Because of our intensified drive against illegal drug operation, I must say that it is possible that someday we will be able to catch the ‘big fish’ in the illegal drug trade which is key to eradicate the menace of drugs in our country that is rapidly victimizing the youth. With this, I am asking our citizen’s help to support this battle by means of reporting any illegal drug activities in your area,” Macaraeg said.
