Alert jail guards intercept shabu in ball
THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-XI is investigating who was responsible for the alleged attempt to sneak into the Davao City jail some P500,000 worth of shabu stuffed in a ball.
The shabu was discovered after the ball got hooked onto a net at the Davao City jail compound in Maa.
Alert jail guards immediately checked the ball.
While checking, security officers got suspicious why a side of the ball has an electrical tape. They promptly examined the ball and was surprised to see six sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu inside.
The seized illegal drugs were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-XI for examination.
