Agila member-trader gunned down in Nueva Ecija
SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija – A businessman said to be a bonafide member of the Agila ng San Antonio Patriots Eagles Club (ASAPEC) was shot dead by riding-in-tandem men inside his local convenience store in this municipality.
Town police head Maj. Ricardo M. Salomon Jr. identified the victim as Resty Flores, 39, of Purok 5, Bgy. Luyos, San Antonio.
Flores sustained several gunshot wounds in the head and different parts of the body.
Initial investigation showed that unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects on board a red Honda Click motorcycle, wearing black jackets and helmets repeatedly shot the victim, using a short firearm.
The victim was rushed to the nearby Cabiao General Hospital for emergency treatment but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Marionlei Maruyot, the attending physician.
Salomon said they are initially looking at the victim’s business activities as possible motives in the killing.
“Ipino-post niya kasi sa social media mga pautang niya, kaya isa yun sa motibo na tinitingnan namin,” Salomon told the Journal Group.
“Hindi pa makuha lahat ng detalye at ‘di pa makausap nang maayos ‘yung asawa ng biktima at nagluluksa pa,” he added.
Police said they are investigating the killing.
