Actor Dominic Roco nabbed in QC drug bust
ACTOR Dominic Roco and four other suspects were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Saturday morning.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said Roco, son of movie and television icon Bembol Roco, was apprehended in Barangay Holy Spirit at around 1:20 a.m., including his four cohorts
The police official said Roco and his cohorts have been under surveillance after a confidential informant tipped off police about their involvement in the proliferation and distribution of illegal drugs in Quezon City.
The informant and an undercover police operative negotiated with Roco’s group for an initial deal involving P500 worth of shabu.
Confiscated were P112,000 worth of shabu, P14,000 worth of dried marijuana “kush”, a weighing scale, and the marked money.
The suspects were brought to the Holy Spirit police Station 14, where they are being held on charges of drug trafficking.
