LOCAL Government Secretary Benhur Abalos yesterday said that the police colonel in an unprovoked gun-firing incident should not be provided the privilege to own and possess a gun.
Abalos directed the Philippine National Police (PNP) to immediately confiscate the three licensed firearms under the name of Lt. Col. Mark Julio Abong as a result of his conduct outside a restobar in Scout Rallos, Quezon City which is unbecoming to a police official.
The DILG chief’s order came after the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) revoked the licenses for all three firearms of Abong.
