A dark tale of sexual experimentation and perversion
AWARD-winning writer-director Jose Javier Reyes has joined the bandwagon of filmmakers who make provocatively hot movies for the number one Filipino streaming channel, Vivamax. He has just completed the hot sex-drama, “Secrets”, which is definitely not a remake of his “Mga Mumunting Lihim”, that won acting awards for all its actresses.
This will start streaming on June 10, so mark your calendars. “Secrets” is about how temptation can bring out your darkest, deepest secrets. It’s the scary journey of a couple who thought they already know everything about each other, until they face an ultimate test and revelations come out that will surprise while they’re on a supposedly relaxing vacation in a beach resort.
Former Miss Earth Philippines Janelle Tee plays Janine while newcomer Benz Sangalang play Christian. They’ve been in a relationship for some years but they’re currently experiencing some problems so they decide to leave the city and sort their problems while out of town. A friend lends them a beach house and they were welcomed by its caretakers.
It turns out the beach house has another guest, Felix Roco as Leo, a nephew of the caretakers. He is also on vacation from the Middle East where he is an overseas worker as an engineer. He is with his girlfriend, Denise Esteban as Felina, who works as a waitress in one of the nearby resort hotels.
Initially, Janelle does not like Felix as her instincts tell her that there is something suspicious and dangerous about him. But without them knowing it, Felix can be an irresistible satyr who can seduce everyone and anyone for his own pleasure. Soon, they are slowly falling into Leo’s charms, threatening to further mess up and destroy their already precarious relationship.
Direk Joey Reyes brings on screen a dark tale of sexual experimentation and perversion in his new movie, “Secrets.” This is just a return for him to the sexy genre as it will be recalled that exactly two decades ago, someone branded him as a master pornographer for his film about toreros and toreras starring Klaudia Koronel, “Live Show”, which became so controversial that there was a clamor from the outraged self-appointed guardians of our morality who demanded that it to be recalled.
Since “Secrets” will be shown on a streaming channel that is beyond the reach of the censors, then Direk Joey show all the debauchery and depravity that he wants to display on screen without being afraid that moralistas will be after his neck again. For this movie that oozes with sensuality, he got young and daring actors like Janelle Tee, Denise Esteban and Benz Sangalang who are all just to willing to disrobe and to bare it all for their roles.
Janelle and Denise are two of the busiest bombshells of Vivamax these days. Their movies are being shown right one after another. Janelle was introduced in “Kinsenas Katapusan” then did starring roles in “Putahe”, “Pusoy” and now, “Secrets”. Denise was introduced in “Kaliwaan” then starred in “Doblado”, the series “High on Sex” and now, “Secrets”.
Newbie Benz Sangalang belongs to the stable of Jojo Veloso, manager of most of Vivamax “hubaderas” and “hubaderos” and he is more than willing to bare his hunky physique in “Secrets”. Seasoned actor Felix Roco completes the all-out, no holds barred cast. With Joey Reyes directing them in this sizzling brew of unbridled passions, it will be exciting to see how the movies four main stars will ignite the screen and set it on fire.
