86 more wanted men in Metro Manila arrested
EIGHTY-SIX more wanted persons in Metro Manila were arrested in a week-long operation conducted by the Southern Police District, a report to National Capital Region Police Office director, Brigadier General Anthony A. Aberin said yesterday.
SPD director, Brig. Gen. Bernard R. Yang said their December 1-7 manhunt operations led to the arrest of the 86, of which 19 were classified as Top Most Wanted Persons or TMWPs, 18 were Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 49 were classified as Other Wanted Persons or OWPs.
The official said that some of the arrested suspects were long being sought by the police for major criminal offenses like rape, theft, attempted murder and illegal drugs.
He said the Parañaque City Police Station arrested one ‘Marvin,’ of Barangay San Isidro, wanted for a theft case since 2019 and one ‘Danilo, a 73-year old man wanted for a grave threats case since 2016.
On the other hand, the Pasay City police arrested one ‘Rolando,’62, a man wanted for an attempted homicide case since 2012 and an alias ‘Ronaldo,’39, a resident of Bgy. 174 who is wanted for a trespass to dwelling case since 2014.
