84 families in Cavite
GENERAL TRIAS CITY (GenTri), Cavite – Around 84 families or 357 individuals were affected by a tornado that hit houses in Sitio Capriohan in Barangay Santiago here, Thursday afternoon, May 19, 2022.
According to village chairman Rolando “Kap Batman” Pagkaliwangan, the tornado passed around 2:30 in the afternoon during a rain shower.
“Mula ho dito sa Barangay Hall, nakikita niyo na nagliliparan ang mga yero ng mga kabahayan, mabuti na lang po eh, walang tao na nasaktan sa insidente,” said Pagkaliwangan.
The local government assisted the affected families by sending the City Social Welfare and Development to assess and aid the affected families.
