8 nabbed, P.2M shabu seized in QC buy-busts
ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives of the Quezon City Police District arrested eight drug suspects and confiscated P285,600 worth of shabu during three buy-bust operations in Quezon City.
PLt. Col. Ritchie Claravall, Masambong Police Station (PS 2) commander, identified the arrested suspects as Wilma Maliwat alias “Monay”, 32, resident of Brgy. Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City, and Leopoldo Montives Jr alias “Jun”, 46, reportedly included in the Directorate for Intelligence drug watch list, and a resident of Brgy. Project 6, Quezon City.
The suspects were reportedly arrested at about 3:05 a.m. on November 24, 2021 along Roosevelt Ave. corner E. Beltran St., Brgy. Katipunan, Quezon City.
Seized from the suspects were 26 grams of shabu valued at P176,800 and the buy-bust money.
In another operation, PLt. Col. Alexander Barredo, Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) commander, identified the suspects as Rey Ventura alias “Igle”, 43; Michael Tamondong alias “Inggo”, 34; Antonio Alagna, 37; all residents of Brgy. Baesa; and Randy Santos, 38, resident of Brgy. Bagbag, Quezon City. They were arrested at about 9:15 p.m. of November 23, 2021 on 492 Mendez, Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City.
Seized from the suspects were P54,400 worth of shabu, the buy-bust money, and a cellular phone.
Meanwhile, two drug suspects identified as Marvin Liboon alias “May”, 42 and Marylyn Bello, 43, both residents of Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City were arrested by operatives of the Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14). A buy bust operation was set up against the suspects at about 11:25 p.m. of November 23, 2021 along Don Primitivo, Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City. Seized from the suspects were eight grams of shabu valued at Php54,400.00 and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the confiscated evidence will be submitted to the QCPD Crime Laboratory Office for forensic examination and documentation.
