EIGHT bright members of the Philippine National Police are now scholars of Ateneo de Manila University after passing a stringent screening process.

According to PNP chief, General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, the eight have been granted full ADMU scholarship to pursue their Master in Public Management under the PNP-ADMU School for Government agreement.

The PNP-ADMU partnership under the Bless Our Cops Emerging Leaders Fellowship aims to develop the best and brightest in the PNP as part of the force’s resolve to strengthen its leadership pipeline and build a cadre of ethical reform allies that will propel and sustain the institution towards good governance.

Gen. Eleazar made the announcement during his last traditional Monday flag-raising ceremony on Monday ahead of his retirement on Friday.

The top cop presented the ADMU Certificate of Scholarship to the eight with the help of Napolcom vice chairman Vitaliano Aguirre Jr,, Ateneo School of Government Dean DR. Ronald Mendoza and a representative from Bless Our Cps Movement, Inc., Pastor Cirilo Sazon.

“I express my sincere appreciation to Ateneo de Manila University School of Government and Bless Our Cops Movement Inc. for extending this wonderful privilege and opportunity to police personnel and for the continuing support to PNP’s learning and growth program for the benefit of every member of the organization,” Gen. Eleazar said in his message.

During the same ceremony, the PNP chief also launched their Internal Disciplinary Mechanism Information System (IDMIS) which will be an integral tool in their intensified internal cleansing program.

Gen. Eleazar said the electronic system is another breakthrough in strengthening and redefining preventive, punitive and restorative approaches to better assist the Internal Affairs Service in making an accurate assessment of the state of discipline of PNP personnel.
