700 indigents benefit from CDC’s community pantry

CLARK FREEPORT – Some 700 residents of Sapang Bato, Angeles City benefitted from a community pantry organized by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in partnership with various locators here.

With its theme “Munting handog para sa ating kapwa Pilipino ngayong panahon ng Pandemya”, the activity is a joint project between CDC and 18 partner locators.

Among the beneficiaries of the project were 100 selected senior citizens who received essential goods from the community pantry set at the Sapang Bato covered court.

The donations include assorted grocery items, rice, assorted vegetables, vitamin C, and face masks. Clark locators provided financial assistance to the beneficiaries.

CDC president and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan thanked the donor-locators for making the project possible.

Gaerlan said the project is part of CDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

Meanwhile, CDC chairman Atty. Edgardo D. Paminutan lauded all personnel and firms who made the activity a success.

Global Square Plaza Phils. chairman and president Shin Duk Young and ConnectWise Phils. Site lead Arlene Bernardo thanked the efforts of all partner locators for the project.

For their part, Sapang Bato barangay captain Edwin Flores and barangay kagawad Mario Manialung expressed their heartfelt gratitude to CDC and partner locators for extending help to their constituents.
