
7 metro Manila’s most wanted captured
NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Brigadier General Anthony A. Aberin on Thursday announced the capture of seven of Metro Manila’s most wanted persons amid their stepped-up effort to account for fugitives in the metropolis.
One of the seven was described by the NCRPO chief as an ex-police officer who was wanted for a murder case since 2006.
Brig. Gen. Aberin said that included in the Department of Interior and Local Government’s most wanted list, the suspect was tracked down in his hiding place in Barangay Panipuan in San Fernando City in Pampanga by members of the Makati City Police Station with the support of the Police Regional Office 3 past 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A non-bailable warrant for the arrest of the suspect was issued by Judge Dina Teves of the Makati City Regional Trial Court Branch 142 on November 15, 2006.
“After decades of hiding, this elusive most wanted person is finally arrested and will face trial. This is NCRPO’s commitment. We will ensure that the long arms of the law will reach those who continually evade it, and we shall do this with the end in view of delivering justice to all, through effective and efficient law enforcement,” said the Metro Manila police chief.
Two other suspects in the murder of a resident of Bgy. Tangos North in Navotas City were arrested by members of the Navotas City Police Station on Tuesday, Brig. Gen. Aberin said, citing a report from Northern Police District director, Colonel Josefino D. Ligan.
A caliber .38 revolver used in the killing of the victim and the suspect’s getaway e-bike were recovered by the Navotas police. The gun with two spent cartridges and three live ammunition was subjected to a ballistics examination.
In Caloocan City, NPD operatives arrested a 52-year-old man wanted for four counts of rape during an operation on Kabatuhan Road in Deparo area.
A 5th suspect who is also wanted for a non-bailable rape case was arrested in Bgy. 176-A in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City shortly before midnight Tuesday.
In Las Piñas City, local policemen arrested the 7th most wanted man in the city identified as alias ‘Ronron’ during a manhunt operation in Bgy. Talon on Wednesday.
