7 drug suspects arrested in QC sting

Operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) confiscated P1,020,000 worth of shabu and arrested seven drug suspects in a buy-bust operation on Thursday in Quezon City.

PLTCol. Cristine Tabdi, station commander of PS 3, identified the suspects as Mary Grace Dimaano alias “Gaga,” 20, listed as regional level drug personality, and Khristian Sanchez, 25, both residents of No. 46-G, Dimaano Compound, Bgy. Balon Bato, Quezon City; Nathaniel Bitanga, 18, resident of No. 154 Tendido St., Bgy. San Jose, Quezon City; Mylene Bengco, 31, and Vincent Reyes, 31, both residents of Ilalim ng Tulay, Bgy. Unang Sigaw, Quezon City; Felipe Bacsal Jr., 26, of Maybancal Morong, Rizal; and Marlo Santos, 18, of Oliveros Drive, Bgy. Apolonio Samson, Quezon City.

The suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation at about 5:30 a.m. last July 22 at No. 46-G Dimaano Compound, Bgy. Balon Bato after a confidential informant reported the illegal drug peddling activities of the suspects.

Seized were 150 grams of shabu valued at P1.02 million, buy-bust money amounting to P1,000, a digital weighing scale, a cellular phone and a Ford EcoSport with plate No. ABO 4979.

The suspects will be charged for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the confiscated evidence will be submitted to the Quezon City Police District Crime Laboratory Office for proper examination and documentation.
