SEVEN big-time drug personalities, including two women, yielded more than P5.9 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation, Monday evening in Paranaque City.
Southern Police District Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the arrested suspects as Bablyn Cabueñas, 35, Edwin John Gonzales, 39, both of Purok I, Brgy. San Isidro, Ebrahim Karim, 29, of San Dionisio, La Huerta, Ronnie Bayao, 35, Amira Carel, 21, both of 59 Lopena Compound, Area 4 Fourth Estate, Omera Guimad, 30, of San Dionisio, La Huerta, and Datu Rajabuyan, 19, of Fourth Estate, Brgy. San Antonio.
Macaraeg said the drug sting operation was conducted by joint forces of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), District Intelligence Division (DID), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), under the direct supervision of P/Maj. Renante Galang and Paranaque Police Sub-Station 5 led by P/Lt. Romeo Dino at around 11:10 p.m. at 159 Football St., Lopena Compound Area 4 Fourth Estate, Brgy. San Antonio.
Seized from the suspects were a total of 882 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P5,997,600, a weighing scale, and P5,000 marked money.
The arrested suspects were presented for inquest proceeding before the Paranaque City Prosecutor’s Office for violation of Sections 5 and 11 under Art. II of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
