AUTHORITIES seized more than P1.1 million worth of shabu from six arrested drug personalities in a series of anti-illegal drug operation Wednesday evening in separate places in Taguig City.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg announced the arrest of Halil Abo, 26, Wynlove Buco, 38, Eusebio Baia, Jr, 43, Raffy Lumenda, 44, Alvin Co, 36, and Jessie Christopher Cruz, 38 in a series of buy-bust operations conducted by operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), District Intelligence Division (DID), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) and Taguig Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) that started at around 6:20 p.m. until 11p.m.
Macaraeg said Abo, tricycle driver, was arrested after he handed a small heat-sealed plasticsachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P200 marked money at around 6:20 p.m.
Policemen led by P/Lt. Ariz Ramos seized from him more or less 25.5 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P173,400 placed in a cigarette box and the P200.00 buy bust money.
At around 7:25 p.m., elements of the DDEU, DID and DMFB collared Buco and Baia, Jr. along Catleya St. Samama Phase 2 Napindan in a drug sting operation and seized from them 75.8 grams of shabu worth P616,440 and the P500 bill marked money.
Another buy-bust operation was conducted by SDEU operatives at around 10:05 p.m. along Road 9, Maguindanao St. Brgy. New Lower Bicutan that resulted in the arrest of Lumenda and the confiscation of 50.8 grams of shabu from him with standard drug price of P345,400,00 and the P200 marked money.
At around 11 p.m., SDEU operatives arrested Co and Cruz in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted along MLQ St. Purok 5, Brgy. Lower Bicutan. The two yielded 11.2 grams of shabu worth P76,160 placed in coin purse and the P200.00 buy-bust money.
All seized illegal drugs worth a total of P1,110,440 were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis while charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under R.A. 9165 will be filed against the arrested suspects before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
“We have to stop these criminals from destroying the future of our country and our people. Let us all unite in the fight against illegal drugs and other illegal activities” Macaraeg stated.
