6 killed, 1 seriously injured in Tondo fire
SIX people were killed including two children while one was seriously injured when a fire hit a residential area early dawn yesterday in Tondo, Manila.
BFP Bureau of Fire Protection Senior Fire Officer 2 Roderick Andres said the fire struck around 3:50 a.m. on the second floor of a four-story house at the corner of Camba Street and Ariaran Street in Barangay 25.
The residents were fast asleep when the fire broke out. They were not able to leave the burning house immediately. However, one child was able to jump out of the burning house and was brought to the Philippine General Hospital.
The BFP said an investigation is still ongoing as to the origin of the fire but initial reports showed that faulty electrical wiring could possibly be the cause of the fire.
