6 GenTri villages, 3 bgys under granular lockdown due to rising COVID cases

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite — The local government here placed six subdivisions and three barangays Tuesday under granular lockdown or areas of special concern due the increase in COVID-19 cases.

GenTri LGU under Mayor Antonio Ferrrer declared Barangays Corregidor, Vibora and Grand Riverside Subdivision (phase 2-A) in Pasong Camachile on localized lockdown on August 17 to 31.

Also under lockdown are Barangay 1896 (from August 14 to 23),Tierra Nevada Subdivision (Phases 1 and 2) in Barangay San Francisco from August 13 to 22, Mayflower County village in Bgy. Buenavista and Natania Homes in Bgy. Pasong Kawayan 2 (August 11 to 21), Tierra Solana Subdivision (Phase II) in Buenavista III and Holiday Homes Subdivision in Barangay Biclatan (August 10 to 20, 2021).

As of Wednesday, GenTri posted 8,494 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 7,621 recoveries and 150 deaths.

Seventy three are undergoing treatment at the Gen. Trias Ligtas COVID-19 Isolation Facility in Barangay Santiago, 621 are under strict home quarantine and are being monitored by the local health center while 29 are admitted to different hospitals.

Pasong Kawayan 2 has 77 active cases, Bgy. San Francisco, 74, Pasong Camachile, 69, Navarro, 65, and Biclatan,60, based on data posted by the GenTri LGU.
