5K families evacuate due to floods in Caloocan
FLOOD struck five barangays in North Caloocan a day before the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) declared the start of the rainy season. Around 5,000 families in Barangays 171 in the Bagumbong area; 176 in Bagong Silang; 177 and 178 in Camarin were reported to have been affected by heavy downpours last Monday and Tuesday, forcing some residents to evacuate to safer grounds.
