5,499 Bataeños vaxxed on 1st day of ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan sa Barangay’
BALANGA CITY, Bataan – About 5,499 Bataeños received their COVID-19 jabs during the first day of the “Bayanihan Bakunahan sa Barangay” program of the provincial government.
It includes individuals who received their first, second, and booster dose.
Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III said the initiative aims to address the increasing COVID-19 cases in the province by ramping up the vaccination drive.
Garcia emphasized that this, along with other provincial capitol programs, is anchored on Bataan’s goal to achieve the country’s “highest” human development index.
The provincial government aims to vaccinate about 14,277 individuals from July 20 to 23 and on July 25.
To encourage more individuals to take their jabs, the Bataan provincial capitol will “incentivize” those who will get their vaccines during the mentioned dates through a raffle draw in all vaccination centers.
There will be 20 winners of laptops, 20 winners of tablets, 60 winners of P10,000, 100 winners of P5,000, and 200 winners of P2,000.
