521 Trading, Inc and JPC Gas Station pulled off similar impressive victories over their semifinal opponents to set up a title showdown in 2023 Vantage Basketball Invitational Tournament at the Imelda Cultural Center in Batac, Ilocos Norte.

521 Trading outclassed Purewell Artesian Water, 92-85, while JPC Gas outduelled Arianna’s Place, 87-84, to arrange a best-of-three title match.

Both 521 Trading and JPC Gas swept their semifinals matches against Purewell and Arianna’s Place in this tournament organized by Ronald Yapo’s Vantage Hog Feeds in cooperation with the City of Batac, headed by Mayor Albert D. Chua.

521 turned to the foursome of Clint Escamis, Paolo Jose Hernandez, Warren Bonifacio and Jopet Soriano to silence the African import- reinforced Purewell Artesian Water.

The 5-10 Escamis led the way with 20 points for 521, which is personally handled by team owner Teddy Javines and brothers McJason and Monzour Javines.

Hernandez added 15 points, including seven points in the last three minutes to help 521 stave off Puewell’s last- ditch rally.

Bonifacio added15 points and 10 rebound swhile Soriano contributed 13 points, including a monster jam to the delight of the big crowd.

The Jonas Cajigal-managed JPC rode on Mark Christian Meneses and Jovy Mendoza to roll back Arianna’s Place.

It was 521 Trading’s seventh straight win, including four in the elimination round against Arianna’s (93-82), Purewell (83-73), RQC (108-80) and NXT LVL (103-71).

They defeated Shawin Konstrack, 104-97, in the quarterfinal for their fifth win. AA
