516 couples exchange “I do’s” in Gapan City 2025 grandest wedding ceremony
GAPAN CITY – Some 516 couples exchanged “I do’s” in the city’s grandest wedding spectacle dubbed “Kasalang-Bayan ng mga Batang Gapan 2025″ on Valentine’s Day (February 14).
City Mayor Joy D. Pascual officiated the wedding rites, with her elder brother Congressman Emerson D. Pascual, and other city officials serving as witnesses during the formal exchange of vows by the newlyweds.
“Mabuhay ang mga bagong kasal! Congratulations po sa pagpili ng tao at desisyon niyong mamahalin niyo pang habang-buhay! Panatiliin sentro ang Panginoon sa inyong relasyon,” said Mayor Pascual.
“Dahil forever Joy tayo sa Gapan, sinagot ng pamahalaang lungsod ang lahat ng gastusin sa kasalang-bayan,” she added.
Congressman Pascual hailed his younger sister for “breaking his record” when he was the then-city mayor.
“Kitang-kita ko na ito ay hindi ordinaryong kasalang-bayan, ito ay parang isang engrandeng kasalan na maipagmamalaki natin na hindi kayo tinipid ng lungsod ng Gapan,” said the congressman.
In the mass wedding, aside from the gold wedding rings, also free were the bride’s gown, the groom’s barong tagalog and pants, including the bouquet and food reception.
