5 held for illegal tupada in Ecija
RIZAL, Nueva Ecija – Five men engaged in illegal tupada operations were nabbed in this town last Sunday.
Provincial police head Col. Jaime O. Santos said the five suspects tried to elude arrest but were immediately accosted upon boarding a motorcycle with kolong-kolong in Bgy. Casilagan here.
Nabbed were Glenn Pascua, 36, Emmanuel Fernandez, 49, Jardiel Padua, 32, Angelo Candelaria, 19 and Joe Pancho, 23, all of Bgy. Del Pilar, this town.
Senior MSgt. Marlon G. Concepcion said a concerned citizen tipped off police about the ongoing illegal tupada operation in the area.
Recovered at the crime scene were three live fighting cocks.
