AUTHORITIES arrested five suspected drug peddlers, including a young woman, and seized almost P.2 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust Wednesday afternoon in Makati City.
In his report to Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg, Makati police chief P/Col. Harold Depositar said Abelardo Marcelo, 42, Eduardo Lozada, 41, Foje Rustine, 22, Jeric Cate, 23 and an 18-year-old woman whose identity was withheld were arrested after they conspired in selling illegal drugs to a police poseur-buyer at around 3:05 p.m. along San Antonio Street, Brgy. Pio Del Pilar.
Depositar said elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) were able to seize from the suspects 43 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 27 grams with standard drug price worth P 183,600.00, one analog cellular phone, two coin purse, one plastic container box and the P500 marked money used in the drug sting operation.
Macaraeg lauded the Makati City Police for the successful drug bust operation as he stated “SPD will continue its campaign against illegal drugs and we will not stop until all drug peddlers have been arrested and neutralized,”
