BIG and small oil companies will impose the fourth hefty hike on fuel prices effective Tuesday.
Oil giants Petron Corporation, Pilipinas Shell and small oil firm Seaoil Philippines announced that starting at 6 a.m., they hike prices of diesel products by P1.90, gasoline by P1.45 and kerosene by P1.70.
Chevron Philippines, another major oil firm, will implement the same price adjustments much earlier at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.
Independent oil companies PTT Philippines, Total Philippines, Phoenix Petroleum, Petro Gazz, and Unioil Philippines which do not sell kerosene announced on Monday the same price adjustments effective 6 a.m. while Clean Fuel at 4:01 a.m.
PTT Communication Officer Jhay Julian said the weekly price adjustment mainly reflects movements in the international oil market.
