AUTHORITIES arrested four “high-value individuals” (HVIs) drug “peddlers” and seized more than P1 million worth of shabu in separate buy-bust operations Thursday evening and Friday before dawn in Taguig City.

Joint elements of the District Intelligence Division (DID), District Special Operation Unit (DSOU), and District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) of Southern Police District (SPD) arrested two suspects after they sold P16,000 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer along Purok 5 Ext. Bgy. Napindan at around 1 a.m. on Friday.

In his report to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director P/Major Gen. Jonnel Estomo, SPD Director P/Brigadier Gen. Kirby John Kraft said his men seized from the arrested suspects more or less 77 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P523,600.00, buy-bust money consisting of one genuine P1,000 bill and 15 pieces of P1,000 boodle money, a cellular phone and Honda XRM motorcycle used in illegal transactions.

Earlier at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), DID, DSOU, and DMFB arrested another duo in a drug sting operation along 9th St., Zone 1, Bgy. North Signal Village, Taguig City.

Six plastic sachets containing 72 grams of shabu worth P489,600, an Oppo cellphone, and marked money were seized by lawmen from the arrested suspects.

Estomo commended the operatives of the SPD for their accomplishments in the campaign against illegal drugs, which is in line with his program S.A.F.E. NCRPO.

Kraft said the arrested drug peddlers will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Art II of RA (Republic Act) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
