4 ‘druggie’ collared in Caloocan, Navotas drug busts
AUTHORITIES arrested four drug personalities, including a woman listed as a “high-value individual (HVI), and seized shabu worth more than P400,000 in separate buy-bust operations Thursday before dawn and Wednesday evening in Caloocan and Navotas cities.
Elements of Northern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) under the supervision of P/Lt. Col. Renato Castillo arrested Benita Belluco, alias “Neneng Bei”, 53, listed as HVI, and her cohort Ruben Asuncion, 58, for conspiring to sell P7,500 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer at around 2:30 a.m. in front of their house at Payapa St. 6th Avenue, Bgy. 125, Caloocan City.
DDEU operatives seized from the arrested suspects more or less 50 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P340,000 and the buy-bust money consisting of one genuine P500 and seven pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
Earlier at around 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Navotas Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a drug sting operation along A. Dela Cruz St., Bgy. San Roque, Navotas City resulting in the arrest of Mario Farina, alias “Marvin Bakulaw”, 41, who was included in the list of drug pushers, and Orlando Gacayan, 52, both residing at M. Ablola Bagong Kalsada St., Bgy. Tangos South.
SDEU Chief P/Lt. Luis Rufo said they were able to seize 20.3 grams of shabu from the suspects valued at P138,040, several pieces of drug paraphernalia, the marked money worth P1,000, and a caliber .38 revolver loaded with five live ammunition in its chamber.
Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Jose Santiago Hidalgo commended the relentless anti-illegal drug operations of the team from DDEU and Navotas Police SDEU that resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of P478,040 worth of shabu in a separate buy-bust operation.
