
4 drug traffickers yield P34-M worth of shabu in Caloocan sting
FOUR suspected drug traffickers were arrested and yielded P34 million worth of shabu in an anti-illegal drug operation in Caloocan City.
Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Northern Police District anti-narcotics division arrested the suspects with aliases Al, 39; Sammy, 22; Amy, 19; and Ferds, 18, during a buy-bust on Abel St., Kingstown 2 in Caloocan City on Sunday evening.
PDEA Director General Isagani R. Nerez said the operation also led to the confiscation of five yellow gold plastic packets each containing a kilo of shabu worth a total of P34 million. The drugs were labeled ‘Guanyinwang.’
The suspects’ mobile phones and a vehicle they used to transport the drugs were also confiscated by the PDEA.
In Ormoc City, PDEA and local police operatives arrested a top drug target with the alias’ Caloy’ during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bagong Buhay last Sunday. Confiscated from the suspect were five plastic sachets containing some 56 grams of shabu valued at around P376,000.
The four suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
