364 GenTri detainees get COVID shots

GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite – A total of 364 persons under police custody (PUPCs) of the General Trias Police Office on Wednesday were given the 1st dose and booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine during the inoculation program held in Bgy. Bagumbayan, this city.

Dr. Jonathan Luseco, city health officer of General Trias, with the help of personnel of the General Trias City Police Station led by Maj. Valero Bueno and local police chief Lt. Col. Norman Rañon, led the vaccination of PUPCs at the General Trias City Police Station Custodial Facility.

The PUPCs received Johnson and Johnson (J & J) Janssen and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

Rañon said 65 percent of the 1,200 detainees in Gen. Trias City Jail in Bgy. Navarro received the 1st dose while 200 male and female detainees got their booster shots.

“Unti-unti po natin sila nabakunahan hanggang ma-booster shot sila para na rin sa kanilang proteksiyon kontra Covid,” Dr. Luseco said.
