PASAY City Mayor Emi Calixto Rubiano led the start of the holiday season in the city with the illumination of a 36-foot Christmas tree on Tuesday night in front of the Pasay City Hall.

The event aimed to highlight Mayor Calixto Rubiano’s commitment to offering affordable and community-oriented celebrations, in line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ‘s focus on government frugality.

Mayor Calixto-Rubiano directed all department heads to forgo extravagant pre-Christmas events, in response to the President’s appeal for government agencies to prioritize aid for typhoon victims over lavish Christmas spending.
