300 members, pensioners win P5K each in GSIS Touch and Win Raffle
THREE hundred lucky members and pensioners of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) each won P5,000 in the recently concluded “GSIS Touch and Win” Christmas Raffle, amounting to a total of P1.5 million in prizes.
The winners were automatically entered into the raffle by downloading and registering on the GSIS Touch app. Additional entries were earned through app-based transactions such as loan applications and compliance with the Annual Pensioners Information Revalidation (APIR).
GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso, together with GSIS executives, personally led the ceremonial draw, which was conducted using a fair and audited electronic system.
Veloso said that of the 210 members who won, 79 are active members from the Department of Education; 76 from local government units; 31 from national government agencies; 14 from government-owned and controlled corporations; six from government financial institutions; and four from the judiciary and military (special members).
“This raffle is more than just a holiday giveaway,” said PGM Veloso. “It’s part of our digital transformation journey to make GSIS services more accessible while also spreading joy this Christmas season.”
Veloso emphasized that 98% of GSIS services are now digital, with 70% accessible via mobile phones through the GSIS Touch app. Since its launch in 2020, the app has gained over 1.6 million users, offering seamless access to services such as membership and pension records, loan applications, claims tracking, and more.
The event also underscored GSIS’s commitment to transparency. Representatives of the Internal Audit Services Office ensured the integrity of the draw.
A significant portion of the winners were from the education sector, reflecting GSIS’s strong connection with teachers and school employees.
The cash prizes will be directly credited to the winners’ GSIS eCard accounts, with notifications sent to their registered mobile numbers.
PGM Veloso expressed gratitude to the GSIS workforce during the event: “I thank our hardworking GSIS employees and executives for their dedication to serving our members and pensioners. Your commitment is making a difference in their lives.”
The GSIS Touch and Win Christmas Raffle is part of GSIS’s ongoing efforts to promote the GSIS Touch app and encourage members and pensioners to embrace digital transactions.
