30 fall in QCPD drive vs illegal drugs, crime

IN its most recent intensified anti-criminality and anti-illegal drug campaigns, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) successfully took into custody 30 individuals through its different police stations and units on Tuesday.

By virtue of Warrants of Arrest, 10 wanted persons were apprehended by the following police stations:

The Masambong Police Station (PS 2) under PLTCOL Resty Damaso served a Warrant of Arrest on Daniel Morris Cabading at 11:45 a.m. at the General Trias Jail, Male Dormitory, Brgy. Navarro, General Trias City, Cavite while the Cubao Police Station (PS 7) under PLTCOL Joseph Euje Almaquer arrested Arvin Dayag at 10:11 a.m. along 2nd Ave., Brgy. Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, Quezon City. Both suspects were nabbed for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The PS 2 arrested Joel Cordova Lucidos at 1:45 p.m. on 267 Fernandez St., Brgy. San Antonio, Quezon City on charges of serious physical injuries.

The Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) under PLTCOL Mark Janis Ballesteros arrested Rochelle Dela Cruz at 8 p.m. along Pugo St., Vililia Village, Brgy. Talipapa, Quezon City for slight physical injuries.

For theft, the Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLTCOL Paterno Domondon Jr. served a Warrant of Arrest on Rhodora Roya at 11:25 a.m. at Batasan Custodial Facility, IBP Road, Batasan Hills, Quezon City while John Clark Pancho was served with Warrant of Arrest at 3:00 PM inside BJMP, EDSA corner Kamuning Road, Brgy. Kamuning, Quezon City by the Galas Police Station (PS 11) under PLTCOL Richard Ian Ang.

Likewise, a joint operation with Project 4 Police Station (PS 8) under PLTCOL Leoben Ong and San Manuel Municipal Police Station (MPS), San Manuel Tarlac served a Warrant of Arrest on Marina Cayanan at 6:30 PM at BJMP Baras-Baras, Tarlac City for violation of R.A. 10022 or illegal recruitment.

Moreover, the PS 11 arrested Jeo Inso at 10 a.m. at Unang Hakbang St. corner Luzon Ave., Brgy. San Isidro Galas, Quezon City for grave threats.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, 18 individuals were apprehended in a series of buy-bust operations. An aggregate value of shabu worth P107,760, buy-bust money, and several drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects.

The La Loma Police Station (PS 1) arrested Romeo Cafranca at 11 p.m. along 6 Don Pepe St., Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Quezon City while the PS 2 arrested Jon Jon Quiming and Arvie Sarmiento at 9:20 p.m. in front of 154 West Riverside St., Brgy. San Antonio, Quezon City.

The PS 3 also arrested Landino Reambonansa and Jervi Agana at 11:30 PM along Ilalim ng Tulay, Brgy. Unang Sigaw, Quezon City.

Further, the Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLTCOL Jerry Castillo arrested Armando Macasocol and James Enclonar at 7 p.m. on 39 Doña Rorie St., Brgy. Sta. Monica, Novaliches, Quezon City while Freddie Alberto and Mark James Tiong were arrested at 10:40 p.m. in front of San Isidro Labrador Parish Church, along Ilang-Ilang St., Brgy. Capri, Novaliches, Quezon City.

Moreover, the PS 6 arrested Robert Go and Lawrence Go at 7:50 PM at No. 390 Tabigo St., Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City while the PS 8 arrested Jhan Robert Valdez and Allan Merino at 12:05 a.m. of June 21, 2023 along 220 P. Tuazon Ave., Brgy. Socorro, Cubao, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the PS 11 arrested Ronalyn Sandrino and John Rey Licanda at 11:25 p.m. along Tomas Pinpin St., Brgy. Sto Niño, Quezon City while the Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) under PLTCOL May Genio arrested three other drug peddlers namely Ryan Llmas; Willbert Gaudario; and Allan Zenaroza at 8:40 PM along Tandang Sora Ave., Brgy. Culiat, Quezon City.

In the all-out campaign against illegal gambling, two were rounded up by the PS 6 and PS 12.

The PS 6 arrested Monina Escandor at 7:20 p.m. along Freedom Park 4, Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City for Illegal Number Games while the Eastwood Police Station (PS 12) under PLTCOL Leonie Ann Dela Cruz arrested Jo Anthony Puno at 11 p.m. along San Roque St., Brgy. Bagumbayan, Quezon City for playing “Ending”.

Several illegal gambling paraphernalia and bet money were confiscated from the arrested suspects and a case for violation of P.D. 1602 or the Anti-Illegal Gambling Law will be filed against them.
