AROUND P1.5 million worth of shabu was seized by policemen from three drug personalities who were earlier flagged down on a police checkpoint midnight on Saturday in Caloocan City.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina identified the arrested suspects as Jeffrey Filiciano, 43, of Musa St., Sampaloc, Manila; Jeric Sy, 52, of Aquino St., 5th Avenue, Bgy. 53; and Regie Rivera, 35, of 1116 Casañas St. Sampaloc, Manila.

In his report to Northern Police District Director P/BGen. Jose Santiago Hidalgo Jr., Mina said elements of Tuna Police Sub-Station led by P/Maj. Jerry Garces were conducting police checkpoint and Oplan Sita along Taksay St., Bgy. 28 at around 12:05 a.m. when they flagged down the suspects who were driving two motorcycles without wearing helmet.

The suspects ignored the police checkpoint and instead sped off but they lost control of the motorcycle and hit a trailer truck parked along Taksay Street resulting in their arrest.

When frisked, the suspects yielded a total of 225 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P1,530,000 placed in their belt bag.
